I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
